Barbara Higginbottom, Secretary
Mrs. Higginbottom has a BA in Business with a Minor in Music from Ball State University where she also received a MA in Counseling. Since her graduation from the University, she has consistently made use of her business training in service to the arts. For 10 years, Mrs. Higginbottom was the Office Manager of The University of Michigan’s All State program at Interlochen Arts Camp, where she was responsible for all office activities, correspondence, and program coordination
During her 30-year tenure as a Business Education teacher at Warren Woods Public Schools, she supported the school musicals by writing and publishing souvenir programs and handling all audience, usher and lobby activities. After retirement form Warren Woods Public schools, Mrs. Higginbottom again turned her business experience and interest in the arts to serve arts education. She was an Administrative Secretary and Admissions Officer for Arts Academy in the Woods from 2002-2007.
Mrs. Higginbottom an accomplished vocalist and has sung in choirs and community choruses for most of her life. She enjoyed her six trips to Europe as a facilitator for High School choir trips through Friendship Ambassadors Foundation. At home she has been the chair of the Properties Committee at her church and was responsible for complete management of the church facility and two parsonages. |
